「じねんじょパンプキン」での開催イベント

Stall at Ichi Organic Market on 20 May

Our stall name was 'Jinenjyo Pumpkin'. We had a french staff member helping us. He made jinenjyo crepes - Japanese/French fusion food. It was the last jinenjyo of the season so we could only make 50 crepes before they were all sold out.

We made organic popcorn at the stall, people enjoyed watching the corn popping, it attracted many children. We had two cookers running at the same time popping lots of popcorn. It was quite busy and people were queueing up.

Thanks to all those who came. Hope to see you again next year.

Mukago is the seed of the jinenjyo which grows on the vine. While we grow the jinenjyo to harvest and eat the root, we can also eat the seeds, they are delicious when deep fried or cooked with rice making a dish called Mukago Gohan. We can harvest these seeds from the end of October to the beginning of November. These are a specialty because usually you cannot find them at the shops.
